2006 -2008

In the beginning there was art... and too much time!

Scribbles and doodling was taken to new levels in an attempt to pass the time in chemistry class (a.k.a least favorite class). What started out as dashes and dots, merged into figures and thought out patterns.

A couple dozen pens (one or two failed chemistry tests) later...

Moodledoodles was formed!

Attending university slowed things down a bit, it turns out you really do need to concentrate in class to get a degree.

Doodling became late night stress relief coupled with some new music which led to lots of artistic inspiration!

A Facebook album lead to some amazing art commissions and a few tattoo requests!

Enter the world of the iPod!

After receiving an iPod as a gift, doodling in class slowly transitioned into hours of listening to music with pen and paper.

Small notebook doodles soon became larger pieces of art, with a few sold at a local art market.

After starting a doodle cartoon album titled "Mr Moodie" a few doodle designs led to the idea of creating a children's story book character.

The first version of the story book written by my grandmother, Avril Camp, "Mr Moodie and the kite" was drafted.

Over the next 2 years, the characters and story evolved and grew into an exciting first draft of a children's story & coloring book.

A focus on improved versions of "Mr Moodie and the Kite" the final version of the book was ready for the world to read.

Countless emails, working with print design teams, by the end of 2017, the first edition of Mr Moodie and the kite went into print, ready to take its place among the exciting world of children's story and colouring books...

With Mr Moodie and the kite officially registered and copyrighted, the Moodledoodles brand was trademarked.

In early 2018, our trademark was officially approved.

Mr Moodie and the kite was legally deposited into the National library of London and National library of Scotland, Edinburgh.
